Trees

This project was mainly about drawing trees as adding branches can be sometimes difficult for students.  They did a great job & even added roots.  

We expanded the drawing to show more depth in their landscapes.  Later, we painted a separate paper for the bkgrd using a wet-on-wet technique.

This lesson was built on their previous knowledge (as 3rd graders) regarding color value.

1 quick review & we were ready to begin!

Building on their knowledge of 1 Pt. Perspective from last year, these 4th Graders created their own 2 Pt. Perspective scenes!

Such creative kids!

1st, we drew the scrolls & discussed overlapping.

Next. using Crayola Color Sticks &/or colored pencils, we filled in our scrolls using color value.

They were very careful to add a dark, medium, & light to show their understanding of value.
