1st Grade: Non-Objective Art

Non-Objective Art

1st Graders looked at a variety of Non-Objective art.  After discussing what "Non-Objective" is, they were able to paint freely on day 1.  On day 2, they drew many designs on top of their paintings.  Once complete, they cut their work into little squares using a grid already drawn on the back of their work.  The next step was to re-assemble their work into a new "Non-Objective" piece of art.  Very cool.
(give or take 12"X12" paper, watercolor, Sharpies, crayons, pencils, markers, glue, & construction paper backing)
